1. Change out cabinet hardware – this can give your kitchen a fresh look for under $100
2. Paint the front door – Renew the look of the front of your house for only $50-$80. Choose a bold blue or rustic red to really draw attention.
3. Clean up your water – Spend around $300 for a good quality under-sink reverse osmosis system
4. Paint an accent wall – Add a pop of color to a living room or a bedroom for approximately $50
5. Build a raised flower bed – Boost your curb appeal for $200 or less. Plant perennials along with annuals for a bright splash of color.
6. Upgrade your mailbox – For under $100, you can purchase a new curbside mailbox, or a trendy new version to mount on your house.

14. Switch to a programmable thermostat – Program your heat and air around your schedule to save some money for less than $50
15. Replace old draperies – Another way to change the look of a room is by updating your draperies for around $150 per window
16. Dim the lights – For less than $20, you can add dimmer switches to control the intensity of your light. Bump up to $50 to upgrade to a smart dimmer switch that connects to your home network
17. Install new house numbers – For only $10-$15 a piece, replace old, worn house numbers with black iron, brass or nickel numbers. For around $100, a custom address plaque can be created
18. Paint old vinyl flooring – If your vinyl or laminate flooring is showing wear, paint it! For around $200 you can buy flooring enamel and an acrylic sealer to apply over the floor when you’re done painting. Checkerboards are popular, but stripes or other designs can also provide a fun look.
