How long have you worked at Joyner Homes?
15 years- since the beginning!

What do you do at JH?
Co-owner, Director of Construction, Chief Floor Plan Designer, Land Developer, Sales Coach, Model Decorator, Color Consultant, Estimator, & Strategic Planner

If you could switch jobs with someone in Joyner Homes, who would it be? Why?
I’d switch with future me. We keep getting to do more exciting things and get better at it every day, so I can’t wait to see what we’re doing in a few years.

What 3 words would you use to describe Joyner Homes?
Community. Character. Cool.

What do you do when you’re not at work?
Cheering on my kids in Soccer, Cross Country, Track, and Karate. Running. Fishing. Hunting. Skiing. Playing guitar. Painting. Watching movies.

What random facts can you share with us?
I’m the uncle of 2 sets of twins and 1 set of triplets! I’ve run 24 half marathons and 2 full marathons. I know how to use a sewing machine and bake pies thanks to my mom!

Are you messy or organized?
Fairly organized. When my messiness reaches a certain point, it all gets organized!

What’s your favorite outside activity?
Hmm…. Depends on the season. Spring: Fly Fishing. Summer: Pool. Fall: Bow Hunting. Winter: Skiing

If you could change something about today’s youth, what would it be? Alternately, what excites you about today’s young generation?

I wish we could have saved them (and ourselves) from social media. I’m excited about the attitude of kindness toward people of all types.

What would you tell your 13-year old self?
Buy Apple stock.

How do you define success?
Good question. It’s probably been evolving my entire adult life. At the moment I think seeing our work continuing to grow in demand and the opportunities that creates is very satisfying. I also am enjoying watching my kids make good life choices. A 20” brown trout on the fly feels pretty good as well.
