Today I want to introduce you to our new Design Consultant, Emily Reid. You’ll find Emily here in the office helping our clients pick out their finishes for their home 🙂

How long have you worked at Joyner Homes?
Since September 2019- I am the newbie right now!

What do you do at JH?
I am the design consultant, so I help people pick out their selections for their new home!

If you could switch jobs with someone in Joyner Homes, who would it be? Why?
Probably Tom. He gets to design the custom homes which sounds so interesting to me.

What 3 words would you use to describe Joyner Homes?
Fun, Creative, Integrity

What do you do when you’re not at work?
Play with my doggies, update my home/yard with my husband, stay active with sports.

What random facts can you share with us?
I am a certified scuba diver! I love the water.

Are you messy or organized?
Both! I am organized at work and constantly trying to not be my messy natural self at home.

What’s your favorite outside activity?
Water sports! I used to live in Minnesota and I fell in love with playing on the lake.

If you could change something about today’s youth, what would it be? Alternately, what excites you about today’s young generation?
I would want them to dial back on technology to reduce loneliness, depression, and the pressures it brings about. What excites me about today’s young generation is how accepting they can be.

What would you tell your 13-year old self?
Don’t worry about what other people think! Also you have AMAZING parents and don’t forget it.

How do you define success?
I think success is being happy, finding balance, and constantly learning so you can try to be and do better.
