Q: What do you do for Joyner Homes?
A: A bunch of things! As my part of Customer Care, I email each customer every week or two during construction with new home updates and the most current photos of their new home. After the customer moves in, I coordinate all warranty items. At the office, I help with a little bit of everything! Plot plans, permits, utilities, help the project managers where needed, warehouse upkeep, employee events, and any day-to-day office tasks that pop up!
Q: Tell us about your family.
A: My husband, Duane, is a civil engineer who designs residential subdivisions. My stepson, Kyle, owns his own business in Evansville. My son, Daniel, is an entrepreneur and a commercial realtor. My son Jason works at Vivolac. I also have a German Shepherd named Colt and a black lab named Shelby.
Q: We’ve heard you may be a Super-Fan of a certain sports team in town?
A: Yes! I am a huge Colts fan and have been a season ticket holder for over 25 years – I rarely miss a game! I have a section in my closet that is Colts blue items only. Every year, when the Colts play the Patriots in November, I put up a white Christmas tree with blue lights and Colts ornaments. It stays up until we are done playing for the season – hopefully after we win the Super Bowl!
Q: Other than the Colts, do you have any other hobbies?
A: I love custom cars – at one time I built my own 1970 Mustang! My Dad used to say he would never get me married off because I was always working on my car. I enjoy going to car shows, riding my bike on the trail, and hiking – especially in the mountains. I also volunteer for Read Up – a local program to help 3rd grade students read better. I also love to tour Frank Lloyd Wright homes around the country.
Q: What is your favorite part of working for Joyner Homes?
A: Helping people make their “dream home” a reality! I love working with my awesome coworkers that guide our customers through the process – from the design stage all the way until the day we hand over the keys!
