Assistant Accounting Specialist Job Summary

The Assistant Accounting Specialist assists our Controller with various accounting duties and tasks for multiple LLCs and HOAs, including Accounts Payable and Receivable; account reconciliation; vendor, customer, and lender relations; and other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

-Enter items into accounting and construction management software including purchase order payments, invoices, deposits, and checks.
-Process daily transactions including outgoing payments, credit card payments, and incoming deposits.
-Process credit card statements and request receipts from team members.
-Maintain required vendor documents and follow up on overdue items.
-Generate invoices and communicate with customers and lenders to collect receivables.
-Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues.
-Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

-Education: Associate’s degree in related field preferred
-Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience with Quickbooks experience preferred


-Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
-Accuracy and attention to details
-Written and verbal communication skills
-Time management
-A positive attitude and a team player
-Self-motivated and goal-driven
-Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks
-Functional computer skills in applicable programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
