Before you move in, we spend hours inspecting your home and fine tuning details. We look close and examine the nitty-gritty details; going room to room to make sure the home meets our standards.

We try to make sure that if something isn't right, we want to know about it before you do!
Before You Move In
The final stages of building a home are all about getting into the details.
At this point, our team has already spent loads of time in the home, but this dedicated walkthrough gives us an opportunity to take a step back and really look at everything all together, before you move in.
We aren't just looking at the home as a whole. We're looking at the little things that can be easy to miss when you're focused on the bigger picture. We walk through each room, look at the finishes, check different features, and make sure everything is looking and working the way it is designed to.
It's one of the last steps before the homeowner gets the keys, and we take it very seriously.

Every. Little. Detail.
When we say we check every detail, we mean it. Every window, every cabinet, every door.
We check the windows throughout the home to make sure they're working properly and ready for whatever the day brings. On those hot summer days or freezing winter mornings when you want to keep the outside out, and on those perfect days when you want to let in a little fresh air, your windows should work the way they’re supposed to.
We also check doors throughout the home, from the main entry to bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and everything in between. We open cabinets and drawers, look over the finishes, and make sure the details come together the way they’re supposed to.
We don't stop with the things you see right away. We walk through every room and every space in the home, including closets, bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways, and all the spaces in between. We want to make sure nothing gets overlooked just because it's not the heart of the home or isn't the first thing you notice when you walk into the home.
These may seem like small things, especially when you're standing in a brand new home taking in the kitchen or looking at all the finished spaces. But they're details you'll interact with every day.

Sometimes, this final inspection leads to finding something that needs a little more attention.
That's when we bring in the blue tape. You might see a small piece of blue tape on a wall, cabinet, or somewhere else in the home and wonder why it is there. For our team, it's a signal that we've found something that deserves a second look.
This could be a finish that needs to be touched up, something that needs to be adjusted, or maybe it's something that just isn't meeting our expectations. Whatever it is, we mark it, address it, and keep working until it's made right.
The goal isn't to rush to the end and say "we're done." It's to look at the home as if we were living in it and make sure we're proud of what we're creating for our customers. We want to catch the little things rather than leave them for the homeowner to find after move-in.
A finished home may look simple from the outside, but a lot goes into getting it to where it is.
There are Project Managers coordinating the build, vendors working throughout the home, and a team making sure all the pieces puzzle together along the way. Every person plays a role in getting the home to the finish line.
The quality inspection is just one part of that bigger process. It's another opportunity for our team to come together, look at the home from a homeowner's perspective, and make sure the details reflect the work that went into building it.
