This is a post in a series following construction on The Badger’s Den. To start from the beginning, click here!
Well, here’s another house completed by the Joyner Homes’ team! We don’t have final (and non-iPhone) photos yet, so the official final post will be forthcoming. And, these photos are PRIOR to the final clean so once everything is cleaned and polished up, we’ll post the final (really final) product.
Here’s what we’ve been up to in order to get this beautiful home finished.
Our work continued on the outside with some paint. First, we finished up painting the trim.
Here is a shot of the house with the trim painted impatiently waiting for a blast of color. Don’t mind the three little ones on the sidewalk. They are our helpers – and possibly the future of Joyner Homes. 🙂
And then, finally, an end to the tan! The field color is Hamburg Gray – SW7622 and the trim color is Ethereal White – SW6182. We’ll show it off here from all angles.
And, here it is all painted up with only the cedar accent trim left to do.
We’ll head back inside for a bit and catch up there. The tile backsplash in the kitchen was up for discussion next. This was one piece left until close to the end since it really does help make such a statement in the kitchen. Here is one of the layouts prior to installation.
And then the final decision.
Shelves were added to the pantry (and the closets too).
Then, the built in was stained and finalized.
We added a rolled bar edge to the basement bar top. This will later be stained to match the ebony cabinets.
We finished out the laundry room too. The slots for laundry baskets can certainly be categorized as a “Smart Design.”
Carpet is one of the last things to be installed. First, is the pad and then the actual carpet.
And, finally, it’s time for appliances.
Disregard the blue tape! This photo was taken before final punch work was done.
Meanwhile, in the basement, we finished out the bar in the basement! Now do you understand why this plan is named The Badger’s Den?
And, now we’ll head back outside for the final details there. The homeowner chose a Trex deck material for the floor and rail but the posts are cedar. It is a very clean look.
Finally, the cedar accents are stained a dark chocolate to match the decking. See the little birds nest in the corner? Our painters moved it out of the way to stain and then put it back because there were baby birds in there! Isn’t that sweet?
A street view… Here you can see landscaping being installed as well.
This home faces west so it has beautiful lighting at the end of the day.
Instant grass! Love the sod!
This house is actually 99% complete but we just haven’t had a chance to take final photos. We’ll be back to post photos of the squeaky clean and polished final product. Stay tuned!
