With the recent warmer weather, it always seems to get my hopes up. But we know spring is the time of year when temperatures can swing between hot and cold from day to day. Sunny days can be followed by weeks of stormy or chilly weather. Either way, the warm spring days are approaching, so what are some local things/places to explore on these warm days?
The Pennsy Trail
Try walking, running, rollerblading, biking, etc., on the Pennsy Trail. The Pennsy follows where the Pennsylvania Rail Road Line once ran through Greenfield. It runs in Greenfield from CR 150 W. to CR 400 E. Enjoy the nice weather by getting exercise with your friends and family on the Pennsy Trail.
Beckenholdt Park
On the next warm spring day, grab your dog, friend, or family members and check out Breckenholdt Park. This park has a paved and unpaved trail, picnic tables, grills, a dog park, restrooms, etc. Spend your day enjoying this beautiful, local park!
Go Golfing
Golfing can be taken seriously…. or enjoyed by making a golf outing a social event and enjoying the nice weather. (My preferred kind of golf) Grab your friends, family, or even your neighbors and enjoy the weather on the golf courses in Greenfield. Check out Hawk’s Tail or Arrowhead!
Tuttles Orchard
Take a visit to Tuttles this spring! The springtime at Tuttles has apple trees, beautiful flowers, and fresh vegetables. Make it a full day of apple, flower, and vegetable picking, followed by a lunch in the Tuttle Cafe and Sweet Shop.
There are plenty of things to do outdoors with the warm spring weather approaching. Get outdoors, visit local places, and enjoy the sunshine!
