Do you easily grow tired of your inside decor? It seems like some people are getting out the paint can every season, while others leave things be for years on end. I’ll admit, I love what a fresh coat of paint can do for a room, and when I’m looking for a quick and easy change, that’s usually the direction that I go. This is a very inexpensive way to update your home, especially if you can get the job done yourself. I have always insisted that I would do it myself, until the last paint job ended with me spilling white paint all over our bedroom carpet. Will I now hire someone? Maybe. Time will tell ….
So, what is trending in 2019 for interior colors? This is supposed to be the year for coral … thoughts? I like color, but I think it would take just the right house/room to pull off coral. See 2019’s colors of the year according to HGTV. Also, take a look at Behr’s Color Trends … Their color of the year is Blueprint … Their website is great; very user friendly with tons of ideas! I’m getting ready to update a couple rooms in my house and will definitely use this Paint Your Place feature that allows someone to upload a photo of their room, and shows how the color will look in there. Awesome!!
Aside from color trends, head over this Houzz link and see what’s trending for interior decorations …. again, so many great ideas! I’ve seen many of the popular features for 2019 in some of the Joyner Homes that have been built and will share them here.
The biggest takeaway is to decorate the inside your home based on what sets your soul on fire. If you like it, do it. If you tire of it, you can always change it. Gather ideas from the internet, Pinterest, and catalogs, and keep a tally of what you like and how you would like to incorporate into your home. So then when you go to remodel a room, you have a starting point. Or if you decide to build you own home, you will have some ideas on what style of home you want and what’s most important to you. You want to walk into a room and feel at peace and happy, not overwhelmed and dragged down. The feel of your room can affect your mood, so think about what would would integrate when you take the step to build.
